My name is drs. N.A.M. Oosterlee, and I am an independent researcher who holds a BA and MA in philology, linguistics and literature. These were all obtained at Leiden University. I hope that you enjoy this website, as Mellowfield offers me the opportunity to write about all kinds of artful expressions that carry a message or story along with them.

These could vary from video games to books. Mellowfield is not afraid to be led astray by genre, medium or academic conventions. The name Mellowfield derives from the words mellow and field. The former is my intention for this website's articles having thought-provoking pieces under a mellow vibe, whereas the latter represents the suffix of my mother's last name.
